The Evolution I series of reels delivers all day cast and retrieve performance with five ball bearings for extra smooth operation. Machined and balanced aluminum spools spin almost forever and they're tough enough for any monofilament or "superbraid" lines. The four post, variable, centrifugal anti backlash control lets you precisely adjust for a wide variety of lure designs and wind conditions by locking the brakeweights on or off as needed. The polished aluminum oxide line guide is ultra smooth and plated with incredibly durable Titanium Nitride for extra long, wear free life. The FASTSET clutch bearing anti-reverse assures that when you set the hook you will not release even an inch of line. All of your hook-set energy goes into instant hook penetration. Then the powerful, smooth operating star drag takes over to get your trophy to boatside before he knows it.

The FLASHCAST freespool thumb bar is standard on all Evolution reels for easy, fumble free casting. The bar is ergonomically designed for comfortable operation and positioned right under your thumb when you need freespool. 300 size models are equipped with a spool click to alert the angler to the lightest touch to his bait. The added capacity in the larger models is ideal for heavier lines or deeper waters. The 6.1:1 gear ratio lets you present and work baits with less effort.

Ported one piece frames enhance the lightness of the Evolution I reels and give them a no-nonsense modern design. Ribbed vinyl soft touch knobs are mounted on the heavy duty power handle for better grip and greater comfort.

The Evolution II series is constructed with three ball bearings including the FASTSET clutch and super smooth aluminum oxide ring line guide.
